One of the greatest golfers of our generation was lost to brain cancer earlier this month and will sorely be missed.  I can remember watching him on TV with my Dad as a kid and thinking not only about what a great player he was, but also how he bore a not-so-subtle resemblance to my late father.  Seve - you inspired millions of people and courageously battled your disease like a true champion.

Thanks again to all of you who helped make the Inaugural BKBTF 5K Fun Run/Walk a rousing success. On Saturday we had over 100 participants on a gorgeous morning at Folsom Lake State Park - all in all it was a day that couldn’t have been better. We have raised over $50K to date and are still receiving donations as we speak. Any amount you can give really makes a difference! We are overcome by the generosity we have seen thus far and look forward to using these all important contributions to fund the work that we do in the weeks and months to come.

The highlight of the day was having two brain tumor patients share their experiences about the benefits of a holistic approach to treatment. These two individuals are thriving in the face of a challenging diagnosis and are the very reason why we felt compelled to create the Bruce Kaye Brain Tumor Foundation in the first place. As the old African proverb says, “The pillar of the world is hope.”
